Scuba
Libre has been operating in Playa del
Carmen since 1998. At the present time we operate two
dive centers, one located in the heart of Playa del Carmen
(see map below) only 30m/100ft from the
sea and the other inside of the Caracol
Village Resort, 6km/4mi north of Playa del Carmen. We
are a PADI Resort Operator and active member of APSA (Riviera
Maya Association of Dive & Water Sports Operators.)
Our Dive Masters and Instructors are very familiar with all
of the diverse dive sites along Playa del Carmen and very
experienced in training and guiding divers and non-divers
under the water. We take a maximum of four divers per Dive
Master/Instructor into the ocean, this way we can give full
attention to our clients to ensure them the safest and most
exciting dive experience possible. As a rule, we prefer to
manage small groups and will only take a maximum of eight
divers in our boats. This way we make your diving experience
very enjoyable and safe. |

Our
boats, have been specially customized for diving activities, providing
all the space and comfort that a diver may expect, plus all of the
necessary safety equipment that an open sea operation requires,
such as oxygen, first aid kit, and lifejackets. Both boats and dive
centers are fitted with state of the art radio communications with
direct access to the Local SSS Recompression Chamber and DAN of Playa del Carmen. These centers have professional physicians
and facilities in case of any emergency.

"Mayan Riviera" of the Mexican Caribbean. Playa is
the ideal place for a vacation, whatever you are up to. You

Many locals and visitors alike, prefer to just hang out on one
