A Local Playa del Carmen Dive Operation Since 1998
Scuba Libre opened in Playa del Carmen in 1998 and has grown into a PADI 5 Star Dive Resort with four local locations: Downtown, Sandos Caracol Eco Resort, Sandos Playacar Resort and Palmaia House of AiA.
This is not just a booking desk. Scuba Libre has instructors, captains, boats, resort dive centers, a downtown shop and a team that works every day with first-time divers, certified divers, families and resort guests.
The operation includes PADI courses, local reef dives, cenote diving, Cozumel trips, snorkeling and water activities. Certified divers can also plan seasonal experiences such as bull shark diving from November to March or whale shark snorkeling from June to September.
With 28 years of experience in Playa del Carmen and the Riviera Maya, four locations and 800+ Tripadvisor reviews, the focus is simple: give clear information, help guests choose the right activity, and keep the experience professional from the first question to the end of the day.
